This is me, Fernando. I am usually the one behind the camera and not in front of it, but either way there is almost always a camera around when I am nearby. I have always been interested in photography for as long as I can remember, but things really only took off in 2004 when I got my first digital camera and it became cheap to take thousands of photos. I still love film sometimes, but rarely do I ever use it anymore. I've taken a few courses here and there, and read a lot of photography related material but I am mainly a self-taught photographer since I learn better by doing and am always trying new things. I try to take at least one shot a day (most of the time many more then that!) and you can see these on
my blog. My photographic style for events is mostly photojournalistic. I like to just sit back and capture the moments as they happen. Of course depending on the situation more formal, posed shots are also not a problem. Don't hesitate to
contact me if you would like to see more of my work to get a feel for my style. I'd love to meet up for a drink and discuss photography!
Everyone always asks me what kind of equipment I use, and as you can see I am a Canon fanboy. There's no real reason for this other than I have always used Canon and have lots of gear so switching would be a costly and pointless endeavour. Most of my photography friends and colleagues also use Canon, so it makes it easy for us to borrow each others gear should the need arise. Here's a list of some of my digital gear:
•Canon EOS 5D mark II with battery grip
